  • Wayne Thornley

    FOUNDER | DIRECTOR | CREATIVE PRODUCER


    Before moving to Ireland, Wayne was at the forefront of South Africa’s long form animation industry for a decade, writing and directing projects for Strika Entertainment, Sunrise and Triggerfish Animation, some of Africa’s premier studios.

    He is best known for co-writing and directing South Africa’s biggest animated export to date, Adventures in Zambezia. When not playing ringmaster in the circus that is raising three children, he is writing TV shows for clients, playing with his mocap suit, consulting on scripts and developing new shows he hopes his children will love.

    Andrew spent 10 years in education trying to inject some fun into children’s learning, before he realised he could skip straight to the fun part. Now he creates kids’ entertainment, delivering character-driven stories packed with explosive action, absurd comedy, epic adventures, and the occasional fart gag.

    Having written for shows broadcast around the world on Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Netflix and Disney XD, his latest role was writing and co-directing Rookie Season – a serialised prequel to Supa Strikas, Moonbug’s soccer adventure comedy available in over 100 countries.
